I installed the Office 2010 beta a couple of days ago. I'm trying to use it like you'd use any new product. I've only cracked Outlook so far and I have to say, I've got the same feeling about it I had about Windows 7 when I first installed it.
Where have you been all my life?
Once again, it looks slick and things are where they're supposed to be (for the most part). I have to reiterate that I'm very sceptical about anything MS has done, but lately I've been wowed.
The first couple of things off the top of my head that I liked was the fact that Outlook now handles multiple accounts. You don't have to log in to different profiles. So if you're like me and have dozens of e-mail accounts, you can have them all in Outlook. You can also choose which account you're going to use to send an e-mail from on the fly.
The other cool thing: Outlook collects threads automagically. So any thread with the same subject and senders etc. will be collected and can be viewed without having to fish through tons of e-mails to find what the last person said and how you responded.
That's the coolness so far.
